Diagnostic Styling is a means of visually detecting accessibility flaws in your markup using CSS. It will make a lot more sense once you look at the source code.
Diagnostic styling is a means of visually detecting accessibility issues in web pages. Using advanced CSS selectors the page is styled to show any potential flaws with things such as alt and title tags.

Please note that IE doesn't support diagnostic styling, but it doesn't actually need to so long as you test in Firefox.
